Well done India Stratton, you will be recieving some Barry M goods in your post soon all gift wrapped and smelling lovely!

For all you that wanted entered and didn't win anything, make sure you check back on the 25th of December, I will be doing a very LARGE giveaway to one lucky blog follower!

New nail items!

So this week, I went a bit insane shopping for all kinds of things like make-up and clothes; especially make-up, but along the way, I picked up some nail things so I'm going to show you what I got, okurr?

So first off, I was in Savers, and I got a nail drying spray. What this does is that it basically dries your nails in about 60 seconds. You just spray it on your nails and wait a bit and you're done. It was £2 and I thought it would be a good buy. I did try it out and it was ok, but it smelt like all the makers of the spray did was mix a bit of baby powder with water and put it in an aerosol can, but if it works, it works. I just found that it left the nail with a matte finish, and I didn't really like it, but if that's what you're into, then go get it if you're as impatient as me!

Second, I bought a nail polish set from Primark for £2 and it has a mouldy weird green colour in it, a glittery purple, a metallic green and a silvery holographic nail varnish.

Now, I've tried them all out and mi favourite one is the silvery holographic one. It's amazing. It's from Primark, but it's so good and you get a lot of glitter out of it. Also, you know how difficult it is to get glitter nail varnish off your nail? This one comes off so easily, it's amazing. I'm very chuffed with this purchase.

The one after that is a really baby pink nail varnish from Primark, under Primark's nail polish brand 'Angelica' that was £1. It is such a lovely colour! It has a tiny mix of purple in it. There's not much else I can say about it, but I will be posting a picture up of it in about a day or so, so keep checking back. It is definitely worth the money.

Next was a holographic Barry M nail varnish that has glitter and all this other stuff in it that looks a little bit like tinsel. Now, I tried it on, and hardly anything comes on, and the more you put on, the more you wipe off with the Barry M brush... It's not great but I like how it looks once you've managed to get some out of it. I got it from Superdrug in the damaged items basket for £1 because the lid has a crack on it which isn't even a problem for me, it could easily be replaced, but it is usually £3.99, so I quickly grabbed it up and thought "Yeah, I'm getting this shit".

I will soon do a tutorial using all of the products that I bought over the week and I will be showing you how I style them and what designs I hope to be doing with them in the next week or so! Things have been slowing down since I have been very busy with university and such, but I hope to post at least 2 tutorials a day now that I'm in the Christmas holidays.

And with that, I bid you all goodbye, but not for long, I am going to upload some more nails!

TRIBAL STYLE NAILS

So these are my tribal nails and I must say it is not the best of nail tutorials. My white stripper was a bit gloopy and it was very very annoying, but I have bought a new one and I shall update this post with a picture of my nails with a better stripper, okuur?

Ok so this is what you'll need for this nail design:
White nail varnish
Black nail varnish
White nail stripper
Black nail stripper

STEP NUMERO UNO: Paint your nails. I did two fingers white and two black.
Step 2: Wait for them to dry and then get the opposite colour stripper and draw lines going in different directions across your nail.
Step 3: Do the same to the other nails until you;re satisfied with the result. Use my picture as a guide if you're stuck on what to do.
Step 4: Top coat it, make it glossy and purdy.

VOILA, TRIBAL NAILS ALL DONE!

Hippy nails!

HIPPY PEACE NAILS

So hello once again, chicas, I am going to be showing you how to do these hippy nails, that are pretty cool. I would say that these are also good for summer, just like my gradient nails in the post below, but these can be sported with any clothes but all you have to do it just change the colours, obviously.

So like I did before, I am going to show you how I did this in steps, just to make it easier for you.

FIRST. You will need, white nail polish, a mixture of different nail polishes of your choice, a toothpick and a white nail stripper.

Step 1. Paint your nails a base colour of white (It helps make the colours brighter and it looks much better)
Step 2. Get your nail polishes and apply one drop of each colour onto your nail. Just let it blob onto your nail.
Step 3. Get the toothpick and swirl the colours into each other to make the swirly effects that you can see on my nails (above), but DON'T MIX! Don't go crazy and start mixing the colours together otherwise you'll get a blob of gross brown stuff on your nail and that's not what we are trying to go for today, okurr?
Step 4. Once you're happy with your nail design, let them dry for a good 20 minutes or longer. It will take longer than usual simply because the nail varnish will be put on there thicker than usual.
Step 5. Once your nail had dried, get a stripper or a nail pen and draw a peace sign on your nail. It's better to do it with a nail art pen because it is easier, but you can do it with a stripper.
Step 6: Apply a top-coat.

VOILA! All done!
GRADIENT SUMMER NAILS, OKUUR?

So these are the nails that I sported this summer whilst I was at a music festival with my boyfriend. I call this the 'Gradient Summer Nails', which is obvious enough LOL but yeah, I really liked this nails, they made my hands look really bright and pretty and it went with a lot of my summer clothes, so here is how I made these nails, okurr?

I'm going to do this in steps so it is easier to follow. (There is a image below of the stuffs I used and stuffs)

Step 1. To do them exactly like mine, the colours you need are lilac, pink, orange and yellow.
Step 2: Paint your nails one coat of white nail polish so the colours are bolder and brighter, you can also use a base coat under the white coat if you want to protect your nail.
Step 3. Get a triangular make-up sponge and paint a line of each of the nail varnishes on the sponge in the order that you want them to appear on your nail, so I did lilac, pink orange and then yellow at the bottom.
Step 4. Press the sponge on your nail to print the design onto your nail, MAKE SURE THE NAIL VARNISH DOESN'T DRY ON THE SPONGE BEFORE YOU PRINT IT ON YOUR NAIL BECAUSE IT WON'T WORK.
Step 5: Do it on all of your fingers and once you've done it, make sure your nails aren't dry yet and then apple a top coat onto your nails. You should see that the colours blend in better and it looks more like a gradient.
Step 6: You'll probably get some excess nail varnish on your fingers, just get a cotton bud or a q-tip, dip it into nail varnish remover and simply clean it off and then your fingers should look cleaner.
Step 7: Wait for it to dry, then VOILA!

Take a picture and post it to me in the comments below!

First post!

Hi guys, so the whole point of this blog is to show you my nail designs and show you what I do to my nails when I go out and to offer you some sort of inspiration so you can do the same!
Quick note, I do these very simply, but for some designs you may need a nail stripper or a dotting tool, which you can get from eBay for about £1 or dollar, whatever your currency is.

I will make sure that I tell you what nail varnish I have used and how I am achieved the effect that I have, so you won't be kept in the dark.

Make sure you stay tuned, as you will definitely like what you see!
